If your experience of Chinese cuisine stops at a double order of fried rice and a side of sweet ‘n’ sour pork, you’re not alone.<\/p>\n
In fact, when you travel through China<\/a>, it quickly becomes apparent that there’s no such thing as ‘Chinese food’. Oh there’s Cantonese, Sichuan, Shandong, Fujian, Hunan and Anhui food, but nothing wholly Chinese<\/em>. The country’s cuisine is\u00a0just too regional and complex for one, all-consuming ‘Made in China’ label.\u00a0Unfortunately most people will never get to taste the fiery hot-pots of Chengdu, or proper imperial Peking Duck in the back alleys of Beijing (trust us, you’ve never tasted it like this before).
