We\u2019ve all dabbled in <a href=\"\/vietnam\" data-wpil=\"url\">Vietnamese cuisine<\/a>: some ever-classic spring rolls to snack on, a flavourful b\u00e1nh m\u00ec for lunch, and a hot bowl of ph\u1edf on a cold day. But Vietnam has so many other delicious treasures to be discovered, it&#8217;d be a shame to spend your life sitting in a corner slurping a big bowl of beef broth (well, not that much of a shame).<\/p>\n<p>To help with your Vietnamese food pilgrimage, I\u2019ve come up with a list of the must-try dish for Vietnam\u2019s major cities.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Vietnam Real Food Adventure with Intrepid Travel\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/CZcI0Cam328?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>B\u00fan Ch\u1ea3 in Hanoi<\/h3>\n<p>If you\u2019re in <a href=\"\/vietnam\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-wpil=\"url\">Vietnam<\/a>, you\u2019re likely visiting Hanoi. And if you\u2019re visiting Hanoi, you should definitely try the city\u2019s signature dish, b\u00fan ch\u1ea3. This beyond-tasty meal consists of grilled fatty pork served with rice vermicelli noodles, a mountain of herbs, dipping sauce, and often a side of fried spring rolls.<\/p>\n<p>I tried b\u00fan ch\u1ea3 at a tiny spot complete with child-sized plastic stools and a mother figure cooking in plain view. It was amazing. No soup, no noodles, no rice. Just grilled pork skewed with lemongrass, herbs and vegetables, rice paper to roll it all up with, and a hoisin-peanut dipping sauce. The unlikely pairing of flavours mingle perfectly together and are sure to get your mouth watering.<\/p>\n<p>You\u2019ll find nem lui all over Hue, including Hanh Restaurant at 11 Pho Duc Chinh. However, this charming ancient town is also known for one very important thing: cao l\u1ea7u. And in Nha Trang, there\u2019s a quintessential charcoal grill restaurant where you do just that. Lac Canh is tucked away at 44 D Nguyen Binh Khiem, but you\u2019ll know you\u2019re at the right place if it\u2019s packed with locals and aromatic smoke.<\/p>\n<p>First, you\u2019ll be brought small charcoal grills for your table and get your pick of chicken, beef, fresh prawns, vegetables, and basically anything else you would want to cook on a grill. Then, the cooking part is up to you.
