Days 1-2 Rome
Our culinary adventure begins over dinner in the quiet cobblestone lanes of Rome's Trastevere quarter. Discover the perfect gelati, try local gourmet pizza and sample the numerous deserts on offer. Buon appetito!
Days 3-4 Lucca
Learn about wine and olive oil, the two specialties of Tuscany and enjoy an Italian cooking lesson. Take home the recipes so you can impress your friends and family with your new skills! The medieval town of Lucca and its surrounding Tuscan countryside are best explored by bike, also a great way to work up an appetite!
Days 5-6 Cinque Terre
Apart from experiencing the Cinque Terre, one of the most sensational stretches of Italian coastline, there's a chance to get going in the kitchen when we learn how to mix our own pesto. The Levanto specialties of seafood and foccacia, famous throughout Italy, are not to be missed.
Days 7-8 Asti
In the Piedmont region is the much sought after local delicacy, truffles. As guests of a local winery, we sample the fruits of their vines under the trees on their estate.
Days 9-10 Florence
Uncover the unique regional flavours of Florence and explore some of the highlights of this exquisite city. End the trip with a quintessential Tuscan meal, bistecca alla fiorentina, or delicious cannellini beans and soup.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
