Is this trip right for you?

  • Be prepared for some long travel days, as Gujarat is a vast state and its incredible destinations are spread out across a large area.

  • This state is known for its intense heat, so it’s important to carry plenty of water and wear layers to protect you from the sun. Dwarka (on Day 5) is a great opportunity for a refreshing ocean dip.

  • There's free time in some places, but generally you'll be moving at a fairly quick pace from one location to the next. Remember to relax and unwind when you can.

  • The overnight train trip from Udaipur to Delhi takes about 12 hours. Delays are quite common on Indian trains – patience is the key to enjoying this true local experience.
