Day 1 Hanoi

With a vibrant Old Quarter to explore, delicious food to discover and a city where ancient meets modern with ease, no wonder Hanoi is a favourite with travellers.

Day 2 Mai Chau

Misty mountains, emerald green rice paddies, stilted houses and smiling hilltribe locals inhabit the delightful town of Mai Chau, a slice of rural paradise.

Day 3 Son La

With gorgeous stepped rice paddies, verdant mountains, winding waterways and a tranquil town centre, Son La showcases traditional Vietnamese life at its best.

Day 4 Dien Bien Phu

Widely known as the site of the Battle of Duen Bien Phu, this small city boasts gorgeous landscapes and is rich in the culture of surrounding hilltribes.

Day 5 Phong Tho

With a large H'mong population, Phong Tho is a small agricultural town located in the verdant region between Dien Bein and Sapa.

Days 6-7 Sapa

A mountainous region home to colourful and welcoming hilltribes, gorgeous stepped rice terraces and misty vistas sprinkled with sunshine, Sapa will steal your breath away.

Day 8 Hanoi

Hanoi is famous for its tranquil lake settings, French-colonial architecture, ancient temples, delectable cuisine and as the resting place of the revered former leader, Ho Chi Minh.

    Please note that for 2013 this tour will begin on selected Thursdays, instead of selected Mondays in 2012, and will run from March - November only. The itinerary no longer visits Dien Bien Phu or Phong Tho.
