About Nepal

Colours of Nepal Summary

Add to Shortlist

Days 1-2 Kathmandu

Kathmandu is like an alluring whirlwind of sights, sounds, smells and colors. Almost overwhelming, its charm and history peaks out from the most unexpected places rendering most visitors enamoured.

Days 3-4 Pokhara

Nestled in a valley and sitting on a lake so still it reflects the mountains, Pokhara is the gateway to the Annapurna Ranges and Nepal's second largest city.

Days 5-6 Bandipur

Bandipur is a delightful Nepalese town with traditional wooden houses, narrow streets and daily life spilling out into the streets, the same as it has been for centuries.

Days 7-8 Chitwan National Park

Head to Chitwan National Park and get to know the wildlife of the region. Perhaps explore a native elephant camp and spend some time on the backs of these jungle giants. Search for Indian rhinos, deer and exotic birdlife in the park and you're if lucky, maybe spot a tiger. Afterwards, watch the Tharu dance troupe perform a cultural program before a tasty dinner. The following morning, hit the Rapti River in a canoe to see marsh mugger crocodiles before jumping into a jeep and exploring a nearby village.

Day 9 Bhaktapur

Visit the former capital of Nepal, Bhaktapur. Spend some time meandering the streets and temples of this quaint town, making sure to explore the 15th-century palace and the five-story pagoda at Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Don’t forget to sample juju dhau, a sweet, custard-like yoghurt – the region's specialty.

Days 10-11 Kathmandu

After breakfast, return to Kathmandu for a final team dinner and to celebrate the fine colors of Nepal.
