Add to Shortlist

Days 1-2 Cairo

Wonderfully chaotic and always colorful, Cairo's dazzling array of museums, mosques and markets are a fascinating mixture of modern city and ancient wonders.

Days 3-4 Aswan/Abu Simbel

Situated on the banks of the Nile, the Nubian city of Aswan has been Egypt's southern gateway to Africa and an important trading centre since ancient times. Painstakingly relocated during the construction of the Aswan High Dam, the magnificent temples of Abu Simbel were originally built by Ramses II to intimidate Egypt's southern neighbours with their imposing facades.

Days 5-6 Nubian Homestay/Nile Felucca

Once the lifeblood of an ancient civilisation, cruise the iconic Nile on a traditional felucca and spend a night sleeping on deck under the stars.

Days 7-9 Luxor

From the spectacular temple complex of Karnak to the extraordinary hieroglyphs of the Valley of the Kings, Luxor is full of wonderfully preserved reminders of the Pharaohs.

Days 10-12 Hurghada

Set on the glittering waters of the Red Sea, Hurghada is vibrant beach resort with superb snorkelling amid the vividly colored marine life that inhabits its offshore reefs.

Days 13-15 Cairo

Back in Cairo, enjoy a walk through Coptic and Islamic Cairo, and bargain up a storm in the labrinthine Khan al-Khalili market
