Day 1 Anchorage

Enjoy free time to explore the delights of Anchorage, Alaska’s largest city.

Days 2-3 Seward/Kenai Fjords National Park

Marvel at the sights and sounds of Kenai Fjords National Park, and witness the remarkable Portage Glacier.

Days 4-6 Denali National Park

Go grizzly-bear spotting on a guided tour of Denali National Park. Perhaps go on a scenic flight over Mount McKinley.

Days 7-8 Maclaren

Contrast time spent in a traditional lodge with camping in among the wilds of the remote Alaskan wilderness.

Days 9-10 McCarthy/Wrangell-St Elias National Park

Day 11 Tok

Days 12-13 Dawson

Travel amid stunning scenery 300 kms along the ‘Top of the World Highway’ before entering Dawson City, Canada, which was once a hub of activity for gold prospectors.

Day 14 Whitehorse

The capital of the Yukon Territory, Whitehorse is a lovely town to explore and relax in, especially at the hot springs located just near camp.

Day 15 Cotton Lake

After a long day of driving through the incredible British Colombian countryside, chill out with a book or wander along the shores of Cotton Lake.

Days 16-17 Hyder

Cross back into the USA and camp in Hyder, the ideal location to explore the Misty Fjords National Park.

Day 18 Hazelton

Head into the famed Rocky Mountains, stopping for an awesome cultural experience at the Ksan Indian Village in Hazelton.

Days 19-20 Jasper National Park

Arrive in Jasper amid amazing scenery. Choose to wander along some of the area's magnificent hiking trails or take the tramway in Whistler for awe-inspiring views over the mountains.

Days 21-23 Banff National Park

Located in the heart of the Rockies, Banff has excellent bars and restaurants, excellent hiking and heaps of exciting activities to discover.

Days 24-25 Glacier National Park

Return to the USA, and stop off at Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump to learn the history of America’s buffaloes en route to Glacier National Park, where amazing glaciers and world-class trekking await.

Days 26-28 Yellowstone National Park/Gardiner

Make tracks to the famed Yellowstone National Park and its famous geysers while keeping eyes peeled for moose, bison, elk and grizzly or black bears.

Days 29-30 Jackson Hole/Grand Teton National Park

Stopover at Grand Teton National Park, with its spectacular mountain scenery and range of exciting outdoor activities to be had. Then it’s off to Jackson Hole, the home of the rodeo!

Day 31 Salt Lake City

The most populated city in Utah and the home of Mormon culture, Salt Lake City has some fascinating history and the beautiful Great Salt Lake to discover.

Days 32-34 Moab/Arches National Park/Canyonlands National Park

Visit the rocky scenery, countless canyons and meandering rivers of the Arches and Canyonlands national parks, both having perfect for mini-adventures and off-the-beaten-track exploring.

Day 35 Monument Valley

Arrive in the iconic Monument valley – the film set for countless Western movies. Stop off at Mexican Hat and Gooseneck State Park on the way and soak up the breathtaking scenery.

Day 36 Lake Powell

Witness the Navajo National Monument before heading into Arizona to stay beside the impressive Lake Powell.

Day 37 Bryce Canyon National Park

Appreciate the dramatic-looking hoodoos at Bryce Canyon before camping in the picturesque environs of Kodachrome Basin State Park.

Day 38 Zion National Park

Discover the electrifying Zion National Park. Take to the trails for unsurpassed hiking or perhaps see its beautiful waterways by kayak or tube.

Days 39-40 Las Vegas

Get an eye-full of the remarkable Hoover Dam then it’s off to Vegas for bright city lights, casino hopping and non-stop entertainment.

Days 41-42 Grand Canyon National Park

The awesomeness of the Grand Canyon can’t be described in words – it just has to be seen to be realised. Discover its magnitude on optional treks, walks or even from the skies.

Day 43 Tombstone

Experience a real ‘Wild West’ frontier at Tombstone, where the legends of cowboys have been kept alive by daily re-enactments of gunfights.

Day 44 Los Mochis

Say ‘hola’ to Mexico as the trip drives to the Pacific coastal town of Los Mochis for the night.

Days 45-46 Sayulita

Hang ten in the surfing town of Sayulit, where beach camping offers the ideal opportunity to soak up Mexico's sun, surf and sand - and perhaps testing out any surfing prowess.

Day 47 Tequila

Taste the local tipple at Tequila, which has the smell of blue agave – from which tequila is distilled – hanging thickly in the air. Bottoms up!

Days 48-49 Angahuan

As the gateway to the Paricutin Volcano, Angahuan is the perfect place from which to trek around – or up - this epic Mexican volcano.

Day 50 Patzcuaro

Relax in the beguiling town of Patzcuaro, soaking up its lakeside surrounds and learning about its dramatic history.
