Days 51-52 Mexico City

With the world’s largest metropolitan area and home to some 20 million people – there’s plenty of action in Mexico City, whether making the most of the local heritage, indulging in culinary masterpieces, watching life go by in the Alameda Central or jumping into the nightlife.

Days 53-54 Oaxaca

Enjoy staying at a traditional posada. Take a look around the resplendent colonial city of Oaxaca before taking a guided tour around the Zapotec Ruins.

Days 55-57 San Cristobal De Las Casas

Stay in a family run hotel and enjoy a boat trip down the Sumidero Canyon during a stay in the lovely San Cristobel de las Casas.

Day 58 Yaxchilan

Pay a visit to the Mayan ruins of Yaxchilan before hopping aboard a boat to see the impressive murals of Bonampak.

Days 59-60 Palenque

Encounter the waterfalls of Agua Azul and Misol-Ha en route to Palenque, where the sight of this incredible, ruined city rising from the jungle is truly something to behold.

Day 61 Merida

As the state capital of Yucatan, Merida boasts thriving markets and a bustling nightlife.

Day 62 Chichen Itza

A short drive to Chichen Itza reveals one of the most spectacular Mayan sites in Central America, where the daily light and sound show is sure to impress.

Days 63-64 Tulum

Reach the Caribbean Coast for some blissful camping on a remote beach near Xpu Ha. Then, venture to the alluring clifftop ruins of Maya-Toltec.

Days 65-67 Caye Caulker

Wave goodbye to Mexico as a boat trip moves on to Caye Caulker in Belize. Relaxing to the max is compulsory on this idyllic Caribbean island.

Days 68-69 San Ignacio

Head to the Belize mainland, where there’s time to have a nosey around Belize City before moving on to San Ignacio – a beautiful town with lots of outdoor activities to enjoy or a place to simply relax.

Day 70 Tikal

Drive across to Guatemala and be dumbstruck by the Mayan ruins of Tikal, with its temples hiding among the tropical jungle.

Days 71-72 Poptun

Get to know what local life is like in Guatemala while spending time on a working farm in Poptun.

Day 73 Livingston

Soak up the unique Caribbean feel of the town and enjoy a splash in the local hot pools.

Day 74 San Andres Itzapa

Jump aboard another boat and travel along the Rio Dulce to arrive in San Andres Itzapa where we spend the night at a community project assisting victims of domestic violence.

Days 75-77 Panajachel/Lake Atitlan/Chichicastenango

Soak up the atmosphere of Panajachel, which is situated on the shores of the beautiful Lake Atitlan. Perhaps embark on an optional boat trip around the lake that takes in the surrounding villages. The following day, visit Chichicastenango and its fantastic, multi-coloured market.

Days 78-79 Antigua

Appreciate the last couple of days in Guatemala by delving into the charms and wonder of Antigua.

Days 80-81 El Imposible National Park

Discover the verdant forest and biological diversity of stunning El Imposible National Park, complete with pumas, tigrillos and black crested eagles.

Day 82 Cerro Verde National Park

Experience amazing views of surrounding volcanoes and countryside in Cerro Verde National Park.

Day 83 Suchitoto

Wander the colourful streets of Suchitoto, which are lined cobblestone roads that lead to beautiful whitewashed houses.

Days 84-85 Copan

Get up close to the ancient ruins of Copan, one of Honduras’s most striking Mayan sites.

Days 86-88 Roatan Island

Relax in the blissful, crystal-clear waters of Roatan Island, home to gorgeous beaches, intriguing mangroves and the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, second in size only to Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Day 89 Lake Yojoa

Visit Lake Yojoa, where an overnight lakeside camp is the ideal opportunity to take in the surroundings.

Day 90 Leon

Enter Nicaragua and head to the university town of Leon, peppered with derelict buildings and walls adorned with political murals and graffiti.

Day 91 Masaya National Park

Experience the wondrous crater and lava flows belonging to the active volcano in the heart of the Masaya National Park.

Day 92 Granada

Explore the oldest city of the ‘new world’, Granada, which is rich in colonial history and a beautiful place to visit.

Days 93-94 Ometepe Island

Cross Lake Nicaragua, Central America’s largest lake, to Isla Ometepe, where two volcanoes, lush vegetation and a wide range of wildlife await.

Days 95-96 La Fortuna/Arenal Volcano National Park

See Arenal Volcano’s glowing lava flow at night, and marvel at this beautiful area's majesty during the day.

Days 97-98 Monteverde

Stay within the rainforest at Costa Rica’s Monteverde, and perhaps witness some of the diverse local flora and fauna during a visit to the Cloud Forest Reserve.

Day 99 San Jose

Pay a visit to the capital of Costa Rica, San Jose, and get to know its intriguing neighbourhoods, vibrant markets and lively nightlife.

Days 100-101 Manuel Antonio National Park

Sleep in cabins set within the jungle in Manuel Antonio National Park, embarking on jungle walks, relaxing on palm-lined beaches or swimming in cerulean waters.
