Days 1-2 Atlanta/Nashville

Known as the New York of the South, Atlanta is big city with a wide range of parks, museums, restaurants and bars to explore. The undisputed capital of country music, Nashville is home to the famous Wildhorse Saloon and the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Days 3-4 Memphis

Memphis is the home of the Blues. Its traditional music clubs were made famous by legends such as Louis Armstrong, Muddy Waters and B.B. King.

Day 5 Clarksdale

Regarded by many as the birthplace of the Blues, Clarksdale's musical history boasts the likes of Sam Cooke, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker and Son House.

Day 6 Natchez

The original capital of the Mississippi Territory, Natchez was at the heart of the slave trade and birthplace of the Mississippi Riverboat.

Day 7 Lafayette

Located deep in the Mississippi Delta, Lafayette is home to Angelle's Whiskey River Landing - a great place to enjoy a cold beer and enjoy the live Cajun music.

Days 8-10 New Orleans

Known as the 'Big Easy', an eclectic mix of European, Creole and Cajun culture is clearly evident in every aspect of New Orleans's architecture, cuisine and vibrant music scene.

Day 11 Birmingham

The primary site of the Civil Rights Movement, Birmingham was where Dr Martin Luther King Jr began his campaign of civil disobedience. Today it's home to a museum documenting the movement and its struggles.

Day 12 Atlanta

The modern-day metropolis of Atlanta is home to world-class attractions such as the Georgia Aquarium, the CNN Centre and the World of Coca-Cola.
