Add to Shortlist

Days 1-2 Anchorage/Denali National Park

Snow-capped peaks frame Anchorage, a frontier city that looks out onto icy waters and is surrounded by stunning wilderness and alpine parks. Home to the massive Harding Icefield, the captivating Kenai Fjords National Park is dominated by ice-blue glaciers, pristine waters and countless species of wildlife and plants.

Day 3 Alaska Range

Snuggle down in a cabin on the Alaska mountain range. Take a walk through the tundra or perhaps throw a line into the crystal clear streams.

Days 4-5 Wrangell-St Elias National Park

Head into the high country of Wrangell-St Elias National Park. Marvel at massive glaciers and expansive ice plains, and search for moose and brown bears.

Days 6-7 Valdez

The town of Valdez may be small in size, but it's enormous in stature with its importance as an oil and fishing town and its gorgeous surrounds.

Days 8-9 Kenai Fjords National Park

Catch a ferry over to Seward and perhaps opt for a cruise around the dramatic fjords and glaciers of Kenai Fjords National Park.

Days 10-11 Kachemak Bay Wilderness Camp

Embark on your own sea odyssey to Homer on Kachemak Bay. Fend off the cold with some hiking, biking or kayaking, then be treated to a home-cooked local delicacy - salmon bake.

Day 12 Anchorage

Anchorage, although not the state capital, is home to 40% of Alaska’s population and is the gateway to more than 40 wilderness parks.
