From Edinburgh to Glasgow, explore the delights of Scotland's west.

A land of hauntingly beautiful landscapes, imposing cliff-top castles and weather as famously turbulent as its history, Scotland is nothing if not dramatic. Rolling green hills, mist-cloaked lochs and rugged windswept coastlines present superb hiking and photography opportunities in Scotland's Highlands, whales and dolphins can be seen in the waters of the Sound of Mull and while haggis may not appeal to everyone's palate, Glasgow boasts a food and live music scene the likes of which you wouldn't believe. Embark on one of the world's great rail journeys on the Jacobite steam train, venture into the eerily majestic Fingal's Cave and be immersed in the poetic richness and cultural fervour of Scotland on this 8-day western wanderer adventure.

  • Take a stroll around historic Edinburgh Castle
  • Enjoy the natural splendours of Trossachs National Park
  • Cruise around the Sound of Mull on a coastal boating expedition
  • Keep an eye out for Nessy in her atmospheric loch
  • Admire impressive architecture in Glasgow
