Day 1 Edinburgh

Get lost in the tangled laneways of Scotland's capital. From dramatic castles to medieval streetscapes, Edinburgh is a city with a big history. Nicknamed the 'Athens of the North', explore the city's modern art galleries, ancient classical architecture and exciting nightlife.

Day 2 Oban

Travel through the greenery of Trossachs National Park towards Oban. Then take in the scenic beauty of this Gaelic town with a walk to the top of McCaig's Tower.

Day 3 Tobermory

Jump aboard a ferry and travel up the Sound of Mull towards Tobermory, admiring the wildlife in the waters and the rugged coastline cutting into the sea. Later, dock in Iona to view the burial place of Scottish kings, including Macbeth, before returning to Tobermory.

Day 4 Glencoe

View Scotland's highest peak, Ben Nevis, while hiking around the striking countryside. In the afternoon, stop at the Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge to pay your respects to fallen World War II soldiers before continuing to Fort William for the night.

Day 5 Isle of Skye

Recently famed for its use in the Harry Potter films, board the Jacobite steam train for an unforgettable journey winding through Scotland's breathtaking scenery. Disembark in Mallaig and take a ferry to Skye, the largest island in the Inner Hebrides archipelago.

Day 6 Loch Ness

Famed for its mythical monster, Loch Ness also has myriad castles and medieval sites to visit. Take a stroll around a 14th-century castle or choose to take a leisurely hike around the rugged highlands... just remember to keep an eye out for Nessy.

Days 7-8 Glasgow

Through highlands, past rugged cliffs and along winding roads, take a relaxing countryside drive towards Glasgow. Then meander along streets lined with Victorian architecture, explore the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum or choose to check out a local pub before sampling some haggis and a pint of ale.
