So much varies depending on the time of year and unexpected weather. Do your research on the specific season you are travelling in. Ensure you have cash before you head over to Lukla for the whole trip, budget $25USD a day for food, snacks and extra if you plan to have showers, these are $2-6 per shower and use electricity or wifi can be $5USD worth of NPR per charge or connection. Take your medications as recommended by your travel Dr for altitude - this made a huge difference in our group between those coasting through and those struggling early on. You really do only need 1 set of clothes for trekking, 1 set for evenings and something clean to get out and back on the plane in. Layer up and down. More info will be published on my blog and in a book that I will write soon covering all the info I couldn't find on the trip, see www.senseofyou.com for the info in due course and my YouTube vid of our trip.
