Travel across historic Eastern Europe from Hungary to Croatia
Welcome to the Balkans - where East meets West and new merges almost seamlessly with old. Over the centuries people have travelled to this region of Eastern Europe for its fertile soil, natural resources and healing waters. This enchanting land, which has remained virtually untouched by tourism, boasts rich tradition, vibrant culture and mouth-watering cuisine. With historical attractions in Budapest, nightlife in Belgrade, Montenegro's Ostrog Monastery and lively Dubrovnik city, this adventure tour is delightfully different.

Balkan Adventure SummaryAdd to Shortlist
Budapest's grand architecture and boulevards evoke a time gone by, while glamorous stores and glitzy restaurants make this one of Europe's truly great cities.
Osijek, with its enchanting medieval citadel, is located along the banks of the Drava. The city's reputation as Croatia's gastronomic capital is well represented by its many riverside cafes.
Novi Sad is an interesting mixture of old Serbian cultural heritage, Austro-Hungarian architecture and scenic beauty. The city is surrounded by fertile farms and vineyards, framed by verdant hills.
Belgrade is one of the oldest cities in Europe, and while it has had a long and tumultuous history, its beauty and cultural nous will charm visitors on every level.
Sarajevo has emerged from the rubble of war to become a cultural hotspot - and one of Europe's most popular travel destinations. Mostar's Old Bridge, beautifully restored after its sad destruction, is but one drawcard in this picturesque city that's brimming with culture and history.
Drive south by bus to Montenegro (approx 5 hrs) and enjoy the stunning countryside. Our accommodation for the night is little rafting cabins alongside the river.
Nestled among rocky mountains on the shores of the Mediterranean, Kotor is a delightful city with a beautifully-preserved medieval town.
The undisputed jewel of the Dalmatian Coast, Dubrovnik is a beautiful white stone town that is picturesque, full of character and surrounded entirely by city walls.
