In most locations you stay in simple tourist-class hotels (i.e. 2-3 stars), and they are always clean and comfortable. This trip spends 1 night in a family homestay. The homestay is a wonderful opportunity to witness everyday Cambodian life and in the evening you’ll enjoy a traditional-style dinner. Facilities are basic and multishare with mattresses, bedding and mosquito nets all provided. The rewards of such an authentic local experience are immeasurable.
It can get very hot in Cambodia, especially walking around sights like the Angkor complex. Be sure to always carry water, and wear comfortable shoes and appropriate skin protection.

A truly fantastic trip, with many interesting activities included, as well as optional extras (which you should definitely make the most of!) The trip was very well organised and allows you to see the incredible history and culture of Cambodia. The temples really are a sight to behold and the homestay allows you to embrace the local culture. The transport was air-conditioned and comfortable, as were all the accommodation (apart from the homestay which provided fans). Our tour guide, Ly, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly - there wasn't a single question he didn't know the answer to and he went above and beyond to help us with any queries. I would recommend this trip to anyone interested in culture and history - you will be blown away by the beautiful temples and the beautiful people of Cambodia.

I had an excellent experience on our Intrepid Tour in Cambodia. All the trips were fantastic and really well organised to break up travel time. Our trip leader Ly was so friendly and his local knowledge was brilliant. The socially responsible aspect of the trip was also important to me and I felt this was very well covered.
