- Overland, Wildlife
Day 1 Kampala/Lake Mburo
Welcome to Uganda, Africa's verdant heartland. Travel out to Lake Mburo National Park, one of East Africa's lesser-known wildlife havens. The park's native vegetation is atypical of Africa, and plays host to a staggering array of wildlife. Survey the landscape for zebra, buffalo and leopards, then scan the lake for crocs, waterbird and hippo.

Days 2-3 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Head to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to about half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. Trek into the primeval forest of the Virunga Mountains in search of these magnificent beasts. Muddy, undulating and densely vegetated, the going might get tough at some stages - but the hour you get to spend in these gentle giants' company is certainly worth the effort.

Day 4 Kampala
Journey through rich jungle scenery back to Kampala where our journey comes to an end. For those with a bit of extra time up their sleeves, venture to Lake Victoria to see Ngamba Island's chimpanzee sanctuary and mingle with the cheeky residents.
