Days 1-2 Kathmandu
A hive of activity, Kathmandu is a fascinating mix of legend and modern life. Join pilgrims at Bodnath Stupa, explore the colourful Thamel district and visit the monkey temple of Swayambhunath.
Days 3-8 Helambu Trek
Trek through a diverse landscape of rice terraces and deep green valleys, past picturesque monasteries and gompas. This is the land of the friendly Tamang and Sherpa people. Gain an insight into their lives by staying in remote village teahouses.
Days 9-10 Bhaktapur
Take a step back in time and stroll through the traffic-free lanes beneath traditional Newari wooden homes or sit in one of the many squares and become part of the local life.
Days 11-12 Pokhara
Although the hippies have been replaced by trekkers, the incredible scenery and chilled-out atmosphere of Pokhara remain. Hire a boat and take a sunset paddle on the lake, kick back at one of the cafes or throw yourself into Pokhara's oldest tradition, shopping.
Day 13 Bandipur
Tucked away high on a ridge, this little-known trading village is protected by the goddess Durga. Mingle with the locals, dine on traditional food and enjoy awesome views of the Annapurna and Manaslu mountain ranges.
Days 14-15 Seti River
Raft through the jungle on a journey down the mighty Seti, camping out on white sandy beaches.
Days 16-18 Chitwan National Park
Seek out rhino, deer and monkeys on a guided safari through the Chitwan National Park and ride an elephant on an afternoon safari.
Days 19-20 Kathmandu
Explore Kathmandu's busy streets and see this much-loved city.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
For other safety updates, please see our general safety updates page.

The trip was really good. The weather was not great on the trek unfortunately but that cannot be helped. Ashok was a great leader with loads of spirit and he is the kind of guy that could go somewhere far in life if given the opportunity.
