Days 1-2 Delhi
A cacophany of noise, colour and smells, chaotic Delhi is surely one of the country's most interesting cities.
Days 3-4 River Ganges Boat Trip
Kick back and watch the world float by on this Ganges river cruise. Pass village communities and view the abundance of life on this most spiritual of waterways.
Days 5-7 Varanasi
India's religious heart is alive with brightly clothed devotees who line the ghats, twisting alleyways, shrines and temples. Soak up this magical atmosphere during a candle-lit flower ceremony or visit Sarnath, the site of Buddha's first sermon.
Day 8 Agra
The Mughal city of Agra is justly famous for its iconic masterpiece, the beautiful Taj Mahal. Make sure to tear yourself away from this stunning mausoleum and make a visit to the impressive Red Fort.

From the enchanting whitewashed temples of Pushkar, set off into the desert on camel back. Spend a night feasting and listening to the traditional songs of Rajasthani nomads performed around the campfire.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.

The was an amazing experience and I am very happy to have participated. Our Group Leader, Vivek did an excellent job keeping the group well informed, looking after our wellbeing and giving us constant feedback. I could not have enjoyed the trip as much as I did if it had not been for the efficiency of our Group Leader.

Slowly down the Ganges was a wonderful journey into the fantastic sights, sounds, and beauty of India and it's people.A great adventure with a great guide Vivek Paliwal, he made even the few trying moments fun. Thoroughly recommended.
Alexa Bartlett
An awesome, insightful adventure into the real side of life in India. Incredible experience - wouldn't contemplate taking this on by ourselves. Intrepid made it safe, easy and exciting.
Jocelyn Louise Walker
I really recommend the trip, but if you expect luxuries, don't go on it. Every bed was comfortable, every meal superb. Sometimes the heat was hard to take without aircon, but hey it was only one night in my life. Absolutely recommend this trip of India, and thanks again to our leader, Vivek.
Anthony Leslie Bayliss
This trip exceeded my expectations by a long shot - I'm inspired to travel more.
