Day 1 Malaga/ Jubrique
With its whitewashed houses and steep winding streets, Jubrique is a typical village of the Serrania de Ronda.
Day 2 Penon de Benadalid
Traverse the spectacular Penon de Benadalid, situated between the broad Guadiaro Valley and the wooded glens of Genal. Lunch in the delightful village of Benadalid, which has a unique castle cemetary, and is followed by a visit to an 18th century olive mill.
Day 3 Loma de la Serena
Walk through pine forests and chestnut groves, taking in the sweet orchard smells. The path ascends quite steeply in the morning but we enjoy a gentle descent in the afternoon. In the afternoon, there is free time to relax and get to know the village or perhaps take a dip in the municipal pool (in summer).
Day 4 Ronda
Split in two by a savage gorge, Ronda is one of Andalucia's most striking towns. Soak up the Moorish atmosphere and stare in wonder at the houses teetering on the cliff's edge.
Day 5 Los Hoyones
Take in a birds-eye view of the villages that dot the Genal Valley on the Los Hoyones walk, which ends with a riverside picnic (bathing possible).
Day 6 Genalguacil
Walk through the Monarda Valley to Genalguacil, a haven for artists and art-lovers. Wander through flower-lined streets littered with fountains and sculptures and enjoy lunch at a traditional wayside inn.
Day 7 El Canalizo
A chance to stretch the legs on the superb ascent of El Canalizo. This long ridge of granite-like rock is part of the Sierra Bermeja mountains, which separate Jubrique from the Mediterranean Sea.
Day 8 Malaga
After breakfast, we bid farewell to Jubrique and return to Malaga.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
