Days 1-2 Geneva/ Morgins
Our Swiss adventure begins in Morgins, a quaint village of wooden chalets and cow bells, not far from Geneva. Tackle a ropes-and-ladders course before visiting a goat farm and taking a dip in the thermal baths of Val d'Illiez.
Day 3 Montreux
The resort town of Montreux is famed for the Chateau de Chillon, a castle dating back almost a millennium. Follow in the footsteps of knights and princesses up the stairs to the castle turrets. Later, we take a paddle steamer ride across Lake Geneva.
Day 4 Vallon de They
Enjoy a horseback trek through glorious alpine scenery, followed by a wine-tasting session at the terraced vineyards of Lavaux.
Day 5 Morgins
Stretch your legs with a hike up the Bellevue and learn how Swiss cheese is made on a visit to the Ferrage cheese farms.
Day 6 Gruyeres
Be Charlie for a day in a Swiss chocolate factory. You might also want to check out the local museum dedicated to 'biomechanical' artist, HR Giger.
Day 7 Chamonix
From this famous alpine resort we travel on the cog railway to the Mer de Glace glacier. See ice caves and visit the Crystal Museum before ending the day with a bout of summer sledging.
Day 8 Geneva
After breakfast we return to Geneva, home to many international organisations and the Jet d'Eau - a 140m-high water column visible from many parts of the city.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
