Travel from the noisy streets of Nairobi to the breathtaking silence of the sweltering Suguta Valley and the shimmering waters of Lake Nakuru and the Jade Sea to the arid scrub of the Samburu region. Meet the colourful Samburu people, learn how the tiny tribe of El-Molo survives on the salty shores of Lake Turkana and perhaps even peek inside the thatched huts of the Kikuyu. The roads here might be bumpy and the accommodation very basic but if you bring along a sense of adventure on this cultural and wilderness safari, you'll fall in love with this country of incredible contrasts.

Even the most weathered traveller will be awed by the sight of Lake Turkana, a sea of jade lying in the middle of a parched landscape. Meet the amazing El-Molo people that live along its stark shores, enjoy a sunset boat ride over the incandescent waters and fall asleep under star-studded skies.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
