Days 1-2 Hanoi
Absorb the essence of one of Asia's most beautiful cities with a cyclo ride around the Old Quarter. Don't miss a performance of Hanoi's famous water puppets.
Days 3-4 Hue
Before we leave Hanoi, learn the intricacies of Vietnamese cooking at KOTO, a unique training restaurant designed to teach hospitality skills to disadvantaged youth. Then it is on to Hue, where imperial cuisine and a floating restaurant on the Perfume River are a delectable complement to the colourful local market, historical citadel and emperors' tombs.
Days 5-7 Hoi An
Explore this World Heritage site to appreciate Hoi An's rich multicultural history. Head to the market for a discovery tour of the local produce and wrap up a cooking lesson by sampling the fruits of your own labour.
Days 8-9 Nha Trang
Take a sunset cyclo trip through an idyllic seaside town fringed by golden sands and brilliant blue waters. Lounge on the deck of a converted fishing boat and cruise the islands while enjoying a sumptuous seafood banquet lunch.
Days 10-11 Dalat
Ascend through magnificent rural scenery to relax in this former colonial hill station. Visit an organic farm, explore palaces and pagodas, wander cobbled streets and beautiful gardens and dine in one of Vietnam's finest restaurants.
Day 12 Ho Chi Minh City
Before boarding the short flight to Ho Chi Minh City, stop to admire the magnificent silk and cotton weavings at the tribal 'Chicken Village'.
Day 13 Mekong Delta
The serpentine waterways of the Mekong Delta are known to the Vietnamese as 'Nine Dragons' and offer a route to our tranquil homestay, nestled amongst fertile orchards and paddy fields.
Days 14-15 Ho Chi Minh City
The day starts early in the Mekong Delta. Experience the busy Cai Be floating market before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. Explore more of the city before our 'last supper' at one of the city's finest restaurants.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.

Fantastic trip. I escorted the group out from Auckland, and travelled on the trip as an escort.
Quyen Le - ran the trip as normal and was outstanding- I helped by keeping an eye on the back end of the group as there where 18 pax instead of the normal 20. we also had to seperate the group for a fligth so I went with half the group and kept them active until the other half caught up.
The group where really good, wanting to do everything which meant neither of us had any free time at all. Quyen organised group dinners every evening, and activities when the group had free time.

Promoting this tour via the NZ Herlad was a good move. I already wanted to travel to Vietnam but this has put Intrepid on the map for me and I would travel with the company again even if not on an escorted tour out of Auckland, NZ.
