Day 2 Halong Bay
Jump aboard a traditional wooden junk and cruise magnificent Halong Bay. Sit back and enjoy the overnight boat trip, sampling delicious local food while sailing past thousands of limestone rock formations.
Day 3 Hanoi
Return to Hanoi via a ceramics village, where traditional blue and white pottery can be browsed or bought. This evening, enjoy a night of laughter at the water puppet theatre.
Days 4-5 Hue
A private tour of the former imperial capital includes a boat trip on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda, exploration of the Imperial Citadel as well as the serene tomb of Emperor Tu Duc.
Days 6-7 Hoi An
Travel via the scenic Hai Van Pass to the delightful town of Hoi An. It's worth an early rise just to watch the animated bargaining at the local morning market - a fantastic insight into daily life.
Days 8-9 Nha Trang
Indulge in an idyllic beach break on the central Vietnamese coast at Nha Trang, Quy Nhon or Hoi An - choose from five equally luxurious options.
Days 10-11 Ho Chi Minh City
Visit the Chinese architectural masterpiece that is the Binh Tay Market, have a spiritual moment in the Thien Hau Temple and watch artisans at work in a lacquerware workshop. A private tour of the Cu Chi Tunnels is a chance to imagine life as a Viet Minh soldier.
Days 12-15 Siem Reap/ Angkor Wat
Just a stone's throw from Siem Reap are the awe-inspiring temples of Angkor. Enter through the imposing South Gate, see sunrise over Angkor Wat, inspect the exquisite bas-reliefs of Banteay Srei and experience the ambience of Ta Prohm, a temple deliberately left to the ravages of the jungle.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.

I loved the trip though have a few commnets. I was with a group of 5 total (including me) and we'd decided not to go to Na Trang. When that was deleted from the itinerary, we were advised to do 4 days in Hoi An. I'd have preferred more time and Hanoi and Saigon. Hoi An is lovely, but 4 days is too much time there.

Good trip overall. Excellent accommodations and very good guides. But we were poorly advised as to how to apportion our days. We needed more time in the cities and less time in Hue and Hoi An. That was a bummer.

our hotel booking was changed after we arrived in Vietnam and instead of staying in a hotel ^selected for charm or the best available ^as per blurb we were put in a hotel my children described as dank and I got flea bites. This was not Vietnam in style! We have complained but really have not had a satisfactory answer. We would have been happy with a hotel change if we had been given something of similar standard. Our stay in HCHM was spoilt by the fact that we didnt ever want to return to our hotel. The rest of our trip and hotels were great and we had fantastic guides. If you are booking this holiday do it with caution as I had checked and thought I knew exactly where we staying in Vietnam.WRONG.
