For something completely different why not explore Madagascar. (YSY)
Day 1 Johannesburg/ Kruger National Park
Leave the bright lights of Johannesburg behind and head off along the Panorama Route. Camping on the banks of the Oliphants River we sleep and wake to the sound of the African wilderness.
Days 2-3 Kruger National Park
Embark on a river cruise, spotting animals along the banks. At the Greater Kruger, drive into big game territory on early morning and late afternoon safaris.
Days 4-5 Polokwane/ Nata
Stay a night in the Limpopo Region and take a drive through the Polokwane Game Reserve before travelling to Botswana, home of the sizzling Makgadikgadi salt pans.
Days 6-7 Livingstone
Head to to Zambia's spectacular Victoria Falls.
Day 8 Chobe National Park
Seek out amazing African animals on safari drives or perhaps on a Chobe River cruise.
Days 9-12 Okavango Delta
In the Okavango, canoe along channels just wide enough for a hippo to pass, peering through the reeds to spot crocodiles, hyenas, baboons, antelopes and more.
Days 13-14 Khama Rhino Sanctuary/ Johannesburg
A visit to the Khama Rhino Sanctuary supports local communities as well as the formidable single-horned herbivores that this park protects. In the afternoon return to Johannesburg were the adventure ends.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.

Overall an excellent trip. Great guides provided by Acacia

I absolutely loved the trip would recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting Africa. My only disappointment was that our leader changed halfway. We were fortunate that our new leader was great as well, but I think it should be the last resort to make a change like that. the group had just started bonding and for a key person to be removed I think should be avoided at all costs.

The itinery was fantastic. Saw some amazing landmarks and some that were not so well known also. Plenty of wildlife to keep the excitement going.
Philippa Spurling
