Sample the very best of three stunning Southern African countries. Travel from busy Johannesburg along the spectacular Panorama Route and into the mountaintop kingdom of Swaziland, boasting Africa's oldest monarchy. Spend a night in the scenic Mlilwane National Park amid grunting nocturnal animals before continuing on to the Mozambican capital of Maputo. In this attractive city, there's still a lingering sense of the Portuguese colonial era in its elegant architecture, vibrant culture and delicious cuisine, and all these are yours to enjoy before the journey concludes in glamorous seaside Durban.

Extend the journey to complete the Garden Route by travelling onwards to Cape Town (URS)
Days 1-2 Johannesburg/ Kruger National Park
Travel the famous Panorama Route and take in the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, its beginning marked by the Bourke's Luck Potholes, a series of great gouges in rock through which a sparkling river swirls. Extend a helping hand at an animal orphanage before moving on to the world-renowned Kruger National Park. With extraordinary numbers of animals and all of the Big Five, game drives through this expansive reserve are incredibly exhilarating.
Days 3-4 Mozambique
African and Portuguese cultures come together in Maputo, Mozambique's charming capital. Stroll its attractive tree-lined streets, browse the colourful central market or sit down at a sidewalk cafe for a sumptuous seafood feast. At sundown, perhaps rub shoulders with hip locals, chilling out with a beer in hand or dancing to booming beats in one of the many bars and nightclubs.
Day 5 Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary
It's only a short drive to the tiny kingdom of Swaziland, perched on the slopes of the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains. Spend the night in the tranquil Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary surrounded by hippos, antelopes and warthogs. It's possible to attend a Swazi tribal dance performance tonight.
Days 6-7 St Lucia/ Durban
Return to South Africa and embark on a game drive through the Hluhluwe Game Reserve, the country's oldest reserve, where an encounter with both the critically endangered black and white rhinos is almost certainly on the cards. Have fun in the seaside playground of Durban.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
