Days 1-2 Johannesburg/ Kruger National Park
Leaving the sights and sounds of the city behind, the group departs Johannesburg, bound for the world-renowned Kruger National Park.
Days 3-4 Polokwane/ Nata
Travel through the vast Botswana grasslands towards southern Africa, making stops at Martins Drift, Francistown and Nata on the way.
Day 5 Chobe National Park
At the northern corner of Botswana is Chobe National Park, home to an estimated 120,000 elephants and a variety of other wildlife.
Days 6-7 Victoria Falls/ Livingstone
Go wild in Livingstone, Zambia's adventure sports capital and the gateway to the raging waters of Victoria Falls.
Days 8-9 Chobe National Park
Spot the difference with one more game drive through Chobe National Park. No two game drives are ever the same, so expect the unexpected!
Days 10-12 Okavango Delta
Catch a glimpse of enormous Nile crocodiles or gangly giraffes while gliding along the waters of the Okavango Delta, then camp on a remote island surrounded by giant lily pads.
Day 13 Ghanzi
Embark on a walk through the bush with the local San people. The Bushmen of the Kalahari communicate using a series of clicks, making this an unforgettable tribal experience.
Days 14 Windhoek
Discover Germany in the heart of Africa and enjoy a flagon of bier in a Windhoek tavern.
Days 15-16 Etosha National Park
Go on safari in the Etosha National Park, staying up late to spot nocturnal wildlife around the reserve's many waterholes.
Day 17 Sptizkoppe
Eerie, dramatic and ancient, the granite rock formations around the Spitzkoppe area conceal primitive bushmen artwork.
Days 18-19 Swakopmund
Travel to Cape Cross to watch thousands of seals caper along the coastline. In the oasis town of Swakopmund try optional dune bashing or sand boarding before kicking back in a lively bar.
Days 20-21 Sesriem/ Soussesvlei
Watch sunrise atop a huge dune overlooking the coppery sands of the world's oldest desert.
Day 22 Fish River Canyon
This incredible gorge offers remarkable photo opportunities, especially around Hell's Bend, a sharp turn in the river that cuts a swathe through the rock.
Days 23-24 Orange River/ Western Cape
Seamed by rugged mountains and rolling dunes, the scenic banks of Orange River are in the citrus area of the Western Cape.
Day 25 Cape Town
With an imposing cloud-covered mountain as a backdrop, Cape Town is one of the world's most beautiful cities and the perfect place to end this journey - but not before experiencing township life in the Cape Flats.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
For other safety updates, please see our general safety updates page.
