Days 1-3 Nairobi/ Masai Mara/ Nairobi
The Masai Mara is the first stop for unforgettable game viewing. There is time to experience village life as well as spotting the 'big five'.
Days 4-5 Arusha
Enter the bustling melting pot of markets, vehicles and tribesmen of Arusha, all nestled in the shadow of a spectacular volcano, the brooding Mt Meru.
Day 6 Serengeti National Park
Call in at Olduvai Gorge to learn about the Cradle of Mankind enroute to the Serengeti.
Day 7 Ngorongoro Crater
The animal-packed Ngorongoro Crater is an excellent place to spot the Big Five.
Day 8 Arusha
Try to spot Kilimanjaro, Africa's Queen of Mountains, before browsing the bustling markets of a local village and maybe bargaining for some unusual carvings.
Day 9 Dar es Salaam
The road travels past the snow-dusted summit of Mt Kilimanjaro. Dar es Salaam is the launch pad for the Spice Island of Zanzibar.
Days 10-12 Zanzibar
With its idyllic, palm-fringed beaches, turquoise waters and a charming town packed with Arabic, Oriental and Indian-inspired architecture, this island is a delight.
Day 13 Dar es Salaam
Spend a night in our beach side camp on the outskirts of Tanzania's largest city.
Days 14-15 Boab Valley
Continue on to spot giraffes in the Mikumi National Park en route to Malawi.
Days 16-19 Lake Malawi
The sandy shores of Lake Malawi await. With more fish species than any lake on earth, why not dive in and explore this unique freshwater paradise? Wake early to take in the peaceful sight of fishermen out on the lake in their traditional dugout canoes, waiting for their catch of the day.
Days 20-21 Chipata/ Lusaka
Travel through rural villages, cross the mighty Luangwa River and arrive in the capital, Lusaka.
Days 22 -25 Livingstone/ Victoria Falls
Set up camp on the banks of the Zambezi, a haven for hippos and the occasional bull shark. Canoe alongside these creatures for a closer look or visit nearby Victoria Falls, the crashing waters spray up watery clouds of mist.
Day 26 Chobe National Park
Overland and boat safaris in Chobe National Park are a chance to see some of the reserve's many elephants and eagles.
Days 28-30 Okavango Delta
Glide across the lagoons, lakes and hidden channels of the Okavango Delta to view the abundant birdlife and crocodiles hidden among giant lily pads. Camp out on a remote river island and fall asleep to the nocturnal sounds of Africa.
Day 31 Ghanzi
Take a walk with Ghanzi bushmen, who speak in their own language of clicks - an amazing tribal experience.
Day 32 Windhoek
Get a taste of Germany in one of many taverns in Namibia's capital.
Days 33-34 Etosha National Park
The floodlit waterholes of Etosha National Park make it easy to watch wildlife at night.
Day 35 Spitzkoppe
Continue on to eerie Damaraland to bush camp near dramatic rock formations and inspect ancient bushman paintings.
Days 36-37 Swakopmund
A short stop at the Cape Cross seal colony is a chance to watch thousands of seals caper along the coastline. At the old German town of Swakopmund, quench a need for speed, perhaps sliding down sand dunes on a surfboard.
Days 38-39 Sesriem/ Soussesvlei
Scramble to the top of a soaring sand dune in the world's oldest desert. Wake early here to see the sunrise over shifting red sands, it's nothing short of spectacular.
Day 40 Fish River Canyon
Be in awe as you stare at one of Africa's most breathtaking natural wonders.
Days 41-42 Orange River/ Western Cape
Relax on the scenic banks of the Orange River before heading south to Cape Town.
Day 43 Cape Town
Travel to the picturesque city of South Africa's Cape Town to take an interesting and insightful township tour.
