Day 1 Johannesburg/ Kruger National Park
Discover the vast Kruger National Park, where the Big Five roam: elephants, black rhinos, lions, leopards and Cape buffaloes. Jump onboard an open safari vehicle to explore remote stretches of scrub, savannah and forest in search of elusive lions and leopards, as well as elephants, giraffes and wildebeest. There are also amphibians, reptiles and a staggering 507 different bird species to discover. Enjoy a campfire dinner before venturing out again on a thrilling late-night drive to try and spot the glow of predators' eyes.
Days 2-3 Kruger National Park
Depart at first light for an entire day's game viewing. Call by the park's idyllic waterholes and venture into the landscape on foot with park rangers. It's a great way to work up an appetite for a traditional African meal. Next day, squeeze in another early morning game drive before exploring Blyde River Canyon, a natural sandstone gorge lined with lush subtropical vegetation. Tonight, luxuriate in a private safari lodge and tuck into a barbecue dinner in a boma, a traditional African house.
Day 4 Johannesburg
Complete the Kruger experience as park rangers show how to track wild animals, before heading back to the urban jungle of Johannesburg. They don't call this the Panorama Route for nothing: breathtaking vistas of the land unfold at the top of Blyde River Canyon on the trip back to Jo'burg.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
