2. Due to logistical issues and to make the most of your time in Istanbul some of the planned activities have been swapped from the start of the tour to the end and vice versa from what was originally brochured. All included activities remain the same.
Days 1-2 Istanbul
Step into a magical world of colourful bazaars, mysterious mosques and delicious turkish delight. Discover the capital's hidden gems with a walk down its backstreets and later, watch the sun set over Europe from the Asian shore.
Days 3-4 Goreme
The surreal landscape of Goreme, with its whimsical fairy chimneys, is sure to captivate even the most seasoned traveller. Work up an appetite for a gourmet Turkish meal by exploring rock-hewn churches, cave homes and incredible underground cities.
Day 5 Lake Egirdir
Overlooked by the imposing Mt Davraz, Egirdir is an area of intense natural beauty. Take a long walk or cycle around the picturesque lake, enjoy a boat cruise or simply relax in this idyllic setting. Dont miss a chance to indulge in one of this towns amazing fresh fish dinners in the evening.
Day 6 Antalya
Set against the pine-clad Bey Mountains, beautiful Antalya awaits. Wander through historic houses in the old city of Kaleici, and soak up the old-world Ottoman atmosphere. Head to the Roman built harbour to enjoy great seafood and relax at a favourite spot for local residents.
Days 7-8 Kas
Charming coastal Kas makes a great base for enjoying the Mediterranean. Swim in the sparkling sea, then sail over the sunken city of Kekova. Visit the evening handicrafts market to find beautiful handmade wares.
Days 9-10 Kayakoy
Kick back over a steaming glass of tea and enjoy the gorgeous views in traditional Kayakoy. Venture into spectacular Saklikent Gorge before walking the Lycian Way to picture-perfect Oludeniz. Here, maybe swim in the famous Blue Lagoon or do a spot of paragliding off Mount Baba.
Days 11-12 Selcuk
Visit Ephesus, the best-preserved ancient city in Turkey and site of a ruined Roman amphitheatre, before enjoying some local fruit wines in nearby Sirince, a town that time forgot.
Day 13 Pamukkale
Pamukkale's chalky terraces have fascinated travellers for thousands of years. Dip bare feet into the therapeutic waters before heading off to inspect the unique tombs and streets of the ancient Hieropolis.
Days 14-15 Istanbul
Return to glamorous Istanbul. Delight in the Ottoman opulence of Topkapi Palace and take the time to visit the intricately decorated harem, where the royal wives and children lived.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.
