Day 1 Singapore
For a glimpse of the past, go to Little India or Chinatown where traces of olden-day Singapore remain. Shopaholics, all the action takes place along Orchard Road, where high-end boutiques and upmarket eateries jostle for space.
Day 2 Melaka
This former colonial outpost retains a distinctive Old World air - find it in the Peranakan-style shophouses of Chinatown, the 17th-century Stadhuys where ancient artefacts from the Dutch period are displayed, and the Portuguese-built St Paul's Church, the resting place of nobles from a bygone era.
Days 3-4 Kuala Lumpur
Browse the many stalls of Chinatown or check out Merdeka Square, the symbolic site of Malaysia's break from British rule and home of the world's tallest flagpole. There's time to soak up the views from the Petronas Twin Towers' Skybridge or snap up bargains in Suria KLCC before enjoying dinner at a local restaurant.
Days 5-6 Pulau Langkawi
With miles of white sand beaches, lush tropical rainforest and plenty of sleepy traditional Malay villages, Pulau Langkawi is the perfect place to get away from it all. Swim with shoals of colourful fish in the Pulau Payar Marine Park, see the sun slip below the horizon or shop in Kuah Town - everything is duty free on this island!
Days 7-8 Penang
With its elaborate Indian temples, 19th-century Chinese shophouses and statuesque Islamic mosques, Penang is packed with historic attractions. Take time to tour the magnificent Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, poke around the antique shops of Chulia Street or raise your pinky while drinking tea at the Eastern & Oriental Hotel.

On 07 June the Australian Government issued an updated travel warning for East Timor strongly advising against travel to East Timor because of the extremely dangerous security situation. Australians in the country are advised to leave. The Travel Warning remains at Category 5 - Do Not Travel.
On Tuesday 07 June we have taken the decision to cancel the remainder of our East Timor trips scheduled to depart in 2006. All travellers will be notified and given the opportunity to transfer to another trip or obtain a full refund (land content only). We very much regret having to take this action and our thoughts and sympathies are with the people of East Timor during this troubled time.
We are confident of being able to resume our normal schedule of trips to East Timor in 2007 and hope that those travellers who have had to cancel their plans this year will travel with us to East Timor in 2007.

Excellent Holiday
David Wallis
One of the most rewarding experiences you could have. I would highly recommend a Comfort tour to anyone (like myself) who wants the local culture, but with a better 'class' of hotel.
Rachel Hopkins
I had a great time - excellent guide and good travel companions. Malaysia was wonderful.
