Day 1 Delhi
India's fascinating history is displayed throughout Delhi. Step into the world of British India at Rajpath, explore the fragrant spice markets, visit Birla House where Ghandi was assassinated or admire the towering Qutb Minar minaret.
Day 2 Agra
The ornate carvings and bejewelled marble of the Taj Mahal is simply breathtaking. Built by Emperor Shah Jahan as a memorial to his wife Mumtaz, this may very well be the ultimate monument to love.
Days 3-5 Orchha
There's ample time to wander around the village or try a cooking class.
Day 6 River Ganges Boat Trip
Sail down India's sacred River Ganges on local boats and enjoy delicious meals cooked on the floating kitchen. Camp on the riverbank and become part of local life.
Days 7-8 Varanasi
Set on the banks of the Ganges and the ultimate destination for Hindu pilgrims, Varanasi is India's sacred heart. Watch religious life in action in temples, shrines and along the river ghats.
Day 9 Lumbini
Travel to the birthplace of Buddha, the town of Lumbini which sits near the beautiful Nepalese border.
Days 10-12 Chitwan National Park
Experience some of Asia's best wildlife viewing in Chitwan National Park. Visit an elephant breeding centre and keep an eye out for rhinos, deers, monkeys and the infamous Nepalese wild chickens.
Days 13-15 Kathmandu
Journey past rice terraces, deep gorges, pounding rivers and the snow-capped peaks of the Himalayas en route to Kathmandu. Make sure you visit Durbar Square, the monkey temple and burning ghats at Pashupatinath and Boudhanath Stupa.
