Day 1 Hanoi
French architecture and tree-lined boulevards combine with age-old traditions and a fast-paced Asian lifestyle to create a city of contrasts. The markets and atmospheric Old Quarter are a shopper's paradise.
Days 2-4 Halong Bay
Jungle-clad Cat Ba is one of the few inhabited islands in Halong Bay. Discover fishing villages, trek through a national park and sip a beer on the beach after exploring the bay's haunting limestone peaks by boat. Stop by the border town of Lang Son.
Day 5-6 Hua Shan/ Liuzhou
Take a river boat to the isolated mountain village of Hua Shan and stay near a group of wooden Zhuang-style homes. Visit a huge cliff fresco, painted by the ancestors of the Zhuang people some 2,000 years ago.
Days 7-8 Chengyang
Explore the exquisite Dong 'wind and rain' bridges that cross the many waterways through Chengyang. Waterwheels lazily flood the glistening paddy fields that surround this captivating village.
Days 9-10 Longji
Soaring high into the sky, the Longji rice terraces are an awesome sight. Hike along the tiny stone paths that connect the remote villages of the Zhuang and Yao people. The terraces change with the seasons, from being lush green in spring to a white blanket of snow in winter.
Days 11-13 Yangshuo
Ride a bike through landscapes that are straight out of a classic Chinese painting. Ancient villages, delicate bridges, local markets and dramatic countryside make this a very special place.
Days 14-15 Hong Kong
Energetic Hong Kong is an exhilarating fusion of east and west. Cruise the harbour, head down to Stanley Market or admire the skyscrapers from above at Victoria Peak.
