Trek in Thailand, visit Chiang Mai and explore hilltribe villages

Days 1-2 Chiang Mai / Hilltribe Trek

Arrive in Chiang Mai and get a sense of the unique flair of this northern city, a place that is rich in traditional culture and overflowing with local eateries that serve up some of the most delicious cuisine in South East Asia. Board a Songthaew and head out into the hills, spending two days trekking through tropical jungle, stopping at remote waterfalls and passing through friendly hilltribe villages that each possess their own distinct languages, clothing and beliefs. At night, join the locals for freshly prepared meal and sleep in traditional bamboo huts- falling asleep to the sounds of the jungle and awakening to the sounds of village life.

Day 3 Chiang Mai

Return to Chiang Mai, where the hilltribe adventure comes to a close. Perhaps stay on after the trip to check out a range of sights in this much-loved city - including taking a ride to the dramatic hilltop temple of Doi Sutep for a stunning view over the city.
