Day 1 Bangkok

Arrive in Thailand and travel down the vibrant streets of this modern metropolis. Things to do in Bangkok range from relaxing day spa visits, cruising cultural sights like the Grand Palace and sampling local delicacies in one of the many markets.

Day 2 Sukhothai

Ancient ruins and age-old temples dot the former capital of Sukhothai. There's time to wander the rice paddies for picture-postcard scenery or take in the sunset over the lush landscape.

Day 3 Lampang

Cycle through the remains of Old Sukhothai and stop for a picnic lunch along the way. In the afternoon, head to Lampang - the essence of sedate Thailand.

Day 4 Homestay

Ride an elephant through the forest at the Elephant Conservation Centre near Lampang and experience domestic Thai life at a homestay.

Days 5-7 Chiang Mai

Travel onwards to charming Chiang Mai and bargain-hunt at the Night Bazaar or head to nearby hot springs for a revitalising soak. Enjoy an overnight train ride to Bangkok.

Days 10-11 Ao Nang/Krabi (West Coast) / Ko Pha-Ngan (East Coast)
