Situated close to the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Mount Kilimanjaro, Arusha is a relaxed, friendly city with a wealth of famous sites on its doorstep.
Cycle through the Monduli Mountains and see the black cotton earth rolling by. Weave through Maasai villages and camp at Snake Park.
Watch for giraffes, ostrich and gazelles on a ride across rambling Masai plains towards the Great Rift Valley. Camp overnight at the edge of Mto Wa Mbu.
Saddle up early and head for the colourful playground of Lake Manyara, teeming with pink flamingos, zebras and wildebeest. Cycle through a dense banana plantation, meet friendly locals in a Maasai village and perhaps climb the Rift Valley escarpment for breathtaking views. At night, fall asleep to the night sounds of monkeys and baboons.
