Itinerary

Travel to Africa and arrive in Kenya's busy capital.
Meet local children at the Saidia Children's Home Project. See pink flamingos dotting the shoreline of Lake Nakuru.
Embark on an early morning game drive to search out African wildlife. Travel across the border into Uganda and camp near the city of Kampala.
Walk with the chimps in equatorial rainforest in Kibale Forest National Park.
Embark on exciting game safaris through Queen Elizabeth National Park and try to spot elephants, lions and antelope. Hop on a boat tour along the Kazinga Channel where fish eagles soar and hippos wallow.
Head to Lake Bunyonyi in the south west of Uganda. One of the best ways to enjoy the scenery here is to hire a traditional dugout canoe and glide across the lake's surface.
Arrive in Rwanda and travel to Ruhengeri where the gorilla trek begins. With a guide, hike through rugged terrain and encounter these rare mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. Head out on rainforest hikes to glimpse other native species then pay respects at the Kigali Genocide Memorial.
Back in Uganda, camp overnight on the shores of Lake Mburo. Spot gigantic eland antelope grazing near the shoreline.
Enjoy a dawn walking safari and travel to Jinja - the perfect place to enjoy adrenaline-pumping adventure sports including kayaking and whitewater rafting.
Travel back across the Kenyan plains to Nairobi, passing through Eldoret.
Explore Arusha, a market town nestled in the foothills of an active volcano and a popular launching place for many safaris in Tanzania.
Visit the small village of Mto Wa Mbu and learn about the local way of life. Spend the night in Karatu, gateway to the magnificent Serengeti.
Bask in the vast, breathtaking landscape of rolling savanna and acacia trees in the Serengeti National Park. Go on safari in search of the many lions, leopards, rhinos and migrating wildebeest who call the Serengeti home and camp deep in the park.
Descend into the giant volcanic Ngorongoro Crater to look for its abundant wildlife and perhaps spy Africa's iconic Big Five. Ngorongoro is believed to contain the densest concentration of wildlife in Africa.
Visit the Amani Children's Home - an inspirational school for underprivileged kids.
Take a walking tour of a village, and get a firsthand look into the lives of the Chagga people who reside on the slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro. Try a typical Chagga meal before heading to one of the most unspoilt places in Tanzania - the Usambara Mountains.
Journey to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania's balmy port city, and camp overnight at a beach on the outskirts of town.
Jump on a ferry to discover Africa's famed 'Spice Island'. Take a tour of the aromatic plantations and perhaps relax with a book on Zanzibar's perfect, white sand beaches.
