Kick off this stylish sojourn through Spain and Morocco in sumptuous and sultry Seville. Spend time exploring the city’s cobblestone alleyways and ornate architecture, feasting on tasty tapas and breaking for siesta in one of Seville’s many botanical gardens. In true Andalusian style, when the sun goes down this city comes to life, so why not head out for a flamenco performance, sip a glass of vino and eat more tapas.
Take a tour of the picturesque hillside village of Zahara de la Sierra and witness how olive oil is pressed. Join the group for an easy walk in Grazalema National Park if you wish, or plot your own course through the quiet village streets.
Venture up into the rugged cliffs and renowned pueblos blancos of Ronda. Be charmed by the vistas that are said to have inspired Hemingway and Dumas, and learn how to make the most of your tastebuds in an afternoon wine and tapas course.
Soak up the resplendent atmosphere and history of Granada, indisputably one of Spain’s foremost cultural treasures. Ornate Christian cathedrals sit a short stroll from Moorish souqs and Arab craft stalls, while a strong student presence imparts the piazzas a vibrant and youthful buzz. No visit to Granada is complete without a visit to the imposing Alhambra Palace, and an evening tour of the city’s lesser-known flamenco taverns will leave you crying for uno mas (one more)!
Transfer to Malaga and fly to Casablanca. Be picked up by your guide on arrival at the airport and be taken to your hotel. Perhaps spend the rest of the day visiting Rick’s Café for a bite to eat or wandering the lively streets.
Stop in at the Hassan II Mosque – the third largest mosque in the world. Drive on to Rabat and visit some of the city’s impressive monuments.
Explore the incredible ruins of Volubilis and the remarkable walled city of Meknes.
Brimming with old-world authenticity and charm, this time in Fes could well be the highlight of the entire trip. Head out on a guided walking tour through the city’s enigmatic medina, tannery and mosques.
More lively and colourful than its older sister-city, Fes, Marrakech is every bit as exotic and intoxicating. Get lost bargain-hunting for pottery, silverware and leather goods in the endless maze of winding alleyways, or pick your way through the musicians and storytellers of bustling Djemaa el-Fna. Toast the end of this memorable adventure with a final group dinner on one of the many open-air balconies overlooking the night bazaar.
