Kruger Experience - Lodge (4 days) Itinerary

Depart the heart and soul of modern South Africa early in the morning to start the safari adventure of a lifetime. Travel from Johannesburg and arrive in the Greater Kruger area just in time for lunch. Spend the afternoon on dramatic game drives, in open 4x4 vehicles, through a private game reserve. There's plenty to see here so keep an eye out for Africa's Big Five: lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos and buffaloes. Afterwards, return to a comfortable lodge on the outskirts of Kruger National Park, and relive stories of close encounters over a traditional South African meal around a log fire.

Head out on a thrilling safari through African grasslands in Kruger National Park. Seek out prides of lions, search for elephant herds and spy the plethora of colourful birdlife darting through the trees. Afterwards, spend the evening relaxing at the lodge with a refreshing sundowner in hand.

Today is a free day. Why not head out on more game drives, visit the local Kapama Cheetah project or settle in at the lodge to rest.

Begin the day by rising early for a morning nature walk with a knowledgeable local guide, who will help to identify bird and plant species. Enjoy a tasty breakfast back at the lodge. Farewell Kruger en route back to the bright lights of Johannesburg, stopping for spectacular views over the gigantic Blyde River Canyon and the awesome Three Rondavels along the way.
