Day 1 Johannesburg

It doesn't always have the best reputation, but Johannesburg has fascinating, vibrant places to explore like Soweto, Alexandra, Rosebank Flea Market and its wonderful museums.

Days 2-3 Kruger National Park

Created to control diminishing animal numbers due to hunting, Kruger National Park became official in 1926 and is now deservedly one of Africa's premier safari parks.

Day 4 Swaziland/Hlane Royal National Park

Once the private hunting ground of the Swazi royal family, Hlane Royal National Park's vast expanse of bushveld offers an amazing opportunity to track elephants and endangered rhinos on foot.

Days 5-6 Mozambique Beach Camp

One of Mozambique's many unspoiled beaches, Ponta Malongane is a popular diving spot due to its clear blue waters, extensive coral reefs and amazing tropical marine life.

Day 7 St Lucia Estuary

St Lucia Estuary is home to thousands of varieties of birds, mammals and reptiles - with its most popular residents being the hundreds of hippos and crocodiles.

Day 8 Zululand

The Valley of a Thousand Hills is the traditional heartland of the Zulu nation and its magnificent scenery is dotted with tribal communities amid the rolling hills.

Day 9 Durban

South Africa's second most populous city, Durban is a tourist magnet thanks to its wealth of golden, sandy beaches and glitzy nightlife.
