Itinerary

Explore an incredibly unique and diverse side to the Great Trade City on this epic Amsterdam tour through the shopping districts of this beautiful European city! Forget the high street hype, this tour will take you through the timeless back streets and hidden gems of Amsterdam and give you a deep insight into Amsterdam’s fashion and design scene.
You’ll meet your local guide near central station and from there be taken down Amsterdam’s oldest street to a unique design studio store where you’ll hear the fascinating story about how the city and local businesses encourage and support programs for at-risk youth. From there you’ll head into the Red Light district, a neighbourhood famous for being the seedy underbelly of Amsterdam, which has now been transformed into the newest trendy design district. Your local guide will take you through the little side streets to a few different studios where the young professionals of the city work, such as buyers who deal in eco-friendly products, and two world-class Dutch clothing designers, the perfect opportunity for any fashion lover in town!
The next stop on your Amsterdam tour will be into the Jordaan neighbourhood, where you can visit the interior design showrooms to see the latest innovations in the Dutch design world. If vintage clothing is your thing, in this area you can also explore the many vintage stores that are full to the brim with quirky treasures and offbeat bargains.
After all that exploring you might be in need of a little energy boost, so next your local guide will take you to a café to sample some Dutch chocolate and apple tart, a typical afternoon treat for Dutch locals. After this, you’ll head towards the Nine Streets Canal shopping district, an infamous part of Amsterdam and absolute must-see for any visitor who loves to shop. Here you can duck in and out of the dozens of little stores, or spend some time relaxing on the canals and watching the people go by in this bustling neighbourhood.
Not only is this Amsterdam tour perfect for visitors to get the low-down on the great shopping districts in the city, it’s also an opportunity for you to dive into the minds of locals and the conscious consumers of the Netherlands. Along the way, your guide will give you snippets of history about all the neighbourhoods you discover, resulting in the perfect combination of shopping culture and local stories!
