Road to Pachacamac Biking Tour

Discover a world of ancient wonder and mystic legend on this cycling tour through antiquity, with Lima Urban Adventures. Rise early and be transported to a town nestled on the valley of the Lurin River. Learn a bit about bike safety before setting off to ride along the rural roads and valleys of southern Lima. Enjoy cycling along an ancient trail that dates all the way back to pre-Inca times! Still used by local farmers and hikers, the trail passes rustic haciendas, farms and ruins.
And then head off-road and into the mountains for a bit of adventure! Ride on dirt paths, up through the mountains to a look-out point and then around the mountains enjoying the amazing views!  Please note that some cycling experience is recommended as some off-road sections are single track paths.
Finish the ride at the 23km mark, where a vehicle will be waiting to transport you for a tasty lunch stop and time to recharge your energy. After lunch, our private vehicle takes us to visit the archaeological site of Pachacamac, which was once one of the most significant religious centres in ancient Peru.
Marvel at the colossal temples and appreciate the well-preserved frescoes as you wander around this remarkable complex. Learn about the importance of this sacred site from your informative local guide who will explain more about local history and myths of Pachacamac. Afterwards, hop back in the van and travel along a section of the iconic Panamerican Highway back to Miraflores where this exploratory adventure ends.
