Tipping Info

If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides and drivers a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this tour

Itinerary

Leave Panama City behind; pass the Panama Canal's famous Culebra Cut on the way to Soberania National Park, Lake Gatun and the Chagres River.
Known for its birding (the Audubon Society's annual bird count has spotted over 500 species in 24 hours!), Soberania National Park is full of wildlife and is a wonderful place to watch for monkeys, sloth, the Harpy Eagle and plenty more. A quick boat trip on Lake Gatun takes us to Monkey Island; famous for, you guessed it monkeys!
After the boat trip, we will stop for a bite at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort and take in the views of the Chagres River. Fed and ready to continue we will visit an authentic Indian village. This is an opportunity to learn about the local community, their culture, customs, history, art, music and dance. As part of the visit we take a short hike along the trails through the rainforest to learn about medicinal plants and how they use other plants in the immediate area.
