Tipping Info

If you are happy with the services provided by your local guides and drivers a tip - though not compulsory - is appropriate. While it may not be customary to you, it is of great significance to the people who will take care of you during your travels, inspires excellent service, and is an entrenched feature of the tourism industry across many Intrepid Urban Adventures destinations. Please consider this when budgeting for your extra expenses on this tour

Itinerary

Begin by exploring Wat Chai Mongkol, a magnificent temple that was built on the banks of the Mae Ping River. Then follow the Buddhists’ ways by offering alms to monks and learning about other interesting religious practices.
The Mae Ping River is the one of the main rivers in northern Thailand and the lifeline of Chiang Mai. Take a cruise along its waters to see villages and rural life played out on its shores. Your English speaking guide will give you insight into the Thai’s livelihoods and a history of the area along the way.
Enjoy a sumptuous Khao Soi lunch at a farmer’s house. This noodle dish is often made with chicken or beef, served over Chinese egg noodle, and garnished with shallots, cilantro, pickled mustard greens, fried whole chillies and a squeeze of lime juice. Delicious!
After lunch, visit a garden to learn about local vegetables, herbs and the medicinal properties of plants.
Return to Chiang Mai by Songthaew, stopping along the way at the Warorot Market, one of the largest in Chiang Mai. Almost everything is for sale here from food to clothing and hilltribe crafts. There is plenty of time to taste some more local specialties. The adventure comes to an end at Ton Lam Yai Flower Market. Explore stalls filled with colourful, fresh cut flowers.
