Philippine Discovery SummaryAdd to Shortlist
An intriguing, bustling and overwhelmingly chaotic city, Manila is packed full of things to see, do, taste and experience.
Often touted as the 'Eighth Wonder of the World', the quaint town of Banaue is home to stunning rice terraces that appear to stretch like stepping-stones to the heavens.
Trek through forests and rice fields to local Ifugao villages where the local people are still farming the way their ancestors did 2000 years ago.
Fresh mountain air and stunning views await in the village of Sagada, where the locals retain their traditional way of life in tranquil surroundings.
High in the Cordillera Mountains, the bustling urban centre of Baguio offers town comforts and a welcome respite from the heat of the lowlands.
An active volcano which experienced a massive eruption in 1991, Mt Pinatubo's photogenic crater lake is a popular trekking destination.
With stretches of powdery white sand and crystal clear water, Boracay is the perfect place to finish up this Philippines adventure. Choose to chill out on the beach, explore the notoriously creepy Bat Caves or discover the Philippine's best dive spot with an expert. Afterwards, get the group together for a final meal of lechon (spit-roasted pig), arroz caldo (chicken rice porridge) and an icy cold San Miguel.

Philippine Discovery, January 2014
The tour has been a great experience to get to know the country and the people from a local guide. It was very diverse in activities including trekking and relaxing at the beach. However I am of the opinion that the tour should be longer in order to not rush from one place to the other. ON top of that I would prefer a quieter place as a finishing beach resort since Boracay is very crowded.

Philippine Discovery, January 2014
Good trip, tour leader Bryan Ocampo was great, expected better accommodation for the relatively high price of the trip.
