Days 1-2 Lima
Enjoy a guided tour through the historic streets of this fascinating city and descend below the San Francisco monastery to explore the eerie catacombs.

Days 3-4 Lake Titicaca
Travel to Puno and start acclimatising to the high altitude with a visit to the ruined pre-Incan burial site at Sillustani, Head out the next day to Titicaca’s floating reed islands and learn more about the lake lifestyle of the Uros Indians who live on them.

Days 5-7 Cuzco
Enjoy a panoramic drive across the changing landscape of the Andes to Cusco, looking out for llama along the way. Spend a full day exploring this one-time capital of the Incan Empire, admiring its beautiful architecture and historic atmosphere.

Day 8 Machu Picchu
Rise early for a stunning train ride through the lush scenery of the Sacred Valley. From Aguas Calientes, go in search of the ‘lost city’ of Machu Picchu and stand in awe of its breathtaking majesty. Explore the mystical ruins, soak up the wonderful views and discover why this incredible site was named one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.

Day 9 Aguas Calientes/Cuzco
Before returning to Cusco, why not take advantage of the hot springs which lend Aguas Calientes its name. Alternatively, enjoy the Wild West feel of this intriguing town.

All too soon it’s time to say goodbye to the legends of the Incas. Before heading home enjoy a final stroll through Cusco’s cobbled streets. Admire its markets and monuments and maybe look out for some souvenirs to take home as a lasting memory of this captivating journey back in time.
