Day 1 Lima

Arrive in the capital of Peru, Lima - a city full of colonial buildings, great restaurants and fascinating neighbourhoods.

Day 2 Paracas/Ballestas Islands

Say goodbye to Lima and head down the coast to Paracas National Park. Set up camp and explore the park's waterways, and take a boat trip around the Ballestas Islands to see the area's unique wildlife.

Day 3 Nazca

Take the coastal road to Nazca, the home of the mysterious Nazca lines.

Day 4 Puerto Inca

Perhaps take a flight over the Nazca Lines to see them in all their glory. Visit the astonishing Chauchilla Cemetery before driving to Puerto Inca to spend the night camping on the beach.

Days 5-6 Arequipa

Travel through the stark Peruvian countryside to the ‘white city’ of Arequipa, which lies in the shadow of the El Misti Volcano.

Days 16-17 Machu Picchu/Cuzco
