In most locations you stay in simple tourist-class hotels (i.e. 2-3 stars), and they are always clean and comfortable. This trip spends 1 night in a family homestay. The homestay is a wonderful opportunity to witness everyday Cambodian life and in the evening you’ll enjoy a traditional-style dinner. Facilities are basic and multishare with mattresses, bedding and mosquito nets all provided. The rewards of such an authentic local experience are immeasurable.
It can get very hot in Cambodia, especially walking around sights like the Angkor complex. Be sure to always carry water, and wear comfortable shoes and appropriate skin protection.
