Avoid sensory overload on arrival in this traveller’s Mecca and relax by the hotel pool. With energy restored, spend a full day exploring this exciting city on a guided tour. Be amazed by the colours of the 2000 year old temple at Swayambunath where monkeys roam free, marvel at Kathmandu’s Durbar Square, explore hidden temples and wander through market-filled streets. Perhaps even head to the charming and well preserved ancient town of Bhaktapur in the Kathmandu Valley to explore its elaborately carved pagodas and atmospheric alleys.
