Chitwan Extension Itinerary

Travel to Nepal and transfer from either colourful Kathmandu or lake-side Pokhara to a lodge on the edge of the vast Chitwan National Park. Discover a lost world of towering trees, marshes, twisting vines, pre-historic rhinos, lumbering elephants, crocodiles, pythons, deer, brilliantly coloured birds and even rare dolphins. Perhaps watch sunrise through the mists as you boat down the slow moving Rapti River. Head deeper into the jungle by foot - or elephant - to search out the elusive Bengal tiger, shy sloths and magnificent rhinos. Bird lovers are well served with a myriad of colourful bird species making their home in the park. In the evening, get a taste of local culture and experience a traditional dance performance by the Tharu tribe.

After a final morning spent in the jungle or lazing at the lodge, head back to Kathmandu for sightseeing, shopping or further adventuring at the end of this Chitwan extension.
